Blue JarBlue Jar
Blue Jar is a Belfast based ensemble. They currently go out as a 4 piece - to include special guest Ivan Black, but they are a flexible ensemble and are available as a 2 or 3 piece as well.

"Blue Jar combines the panache of Grappelli with Gypsy flamboyance, yet balances this passion with a dreamy, atmospheric classical sound". The group has played throughout Europe and Africa and continue to play in festivals in Cork, Co. Dublin and Enniskillen. With 'Ducks and Geese' to their credit, they will record their second album at Jools Holland's studios in London in March.

The members of Blue Jar come from a mix of jazz/ classical/showband/pop and rock backgrounds. After over twenty years each on the music circuit, they decided to try and combine their specialities, arrange, compose and entertain. Since their first gig - a Garden Party for H.R.H The Prince of Wales they have specialised in corporate work - Waterstones, Basler, Junction One, Belfast City Council, H.M. Forces, Action Cancer, Marie Curie Cancer Foundation, Eastern Health and Social Services Board. They are now 'doing' the live gig and festival circuit, following the success of their album and Rhythm in the City festival at Clarendon Dock, Belfast.

They have enjoyed working with special guests Ivan Black, Peter Corry, Gerry Rice and The Swingin' Lovers.
